What is the background check process for e-Residency applicants?

All e-Residency applicants undergo background checks conducted by the Estonian Police and Border Guard Board (PBGB). This check assesses compliance with the law, prior and current criminal records, and any circumstances that might lead to the denial of a visa or temporary residence permit.
